Island View

I came home from work today to find that our cabinets had been installed! How exciting is that. The island is also in, so you really get a feel for how the kitchen is going look. Everything is coming along so nicely. I can hardly wait until the floors are put in next. Time to go take some pictures!

Don’t worry. Jazz would barely even venture into the kitchen when it had the slippery linoleum. With the whole floor being slick I’m doubting she’ll want to do much rough-housing anywhere but in the family room. Just to be safe, we’re going to make all visitors, human and canine, clip their nails as they walk in. It’ll just be easier.

Nate, you may want to be careful about the toe clipping rule. Cath has a serious toenail-phobia so unless you’re willing to perform the pedicure on all of your visitors, I suggest you just provide those cute little blue shoe coverings that builders provide and hope for the best.
p.s. I e-mailed the faceless one with instructions on getting an avatar (that’s identity to you, Jim) uploaded. I thought only Terry and Carol were the technology challenged members of my family…

There are certain things in the computer world I just choose not to learn about. It’s all about personal choice. and damnit, you stole my idea again about the booties. Now I’m thinking an array of fuzzy slippers should be put out for all visitors to the new Solberg palacial estate. Can I get a map of the new kitchen so I can find my way around? Faceless One (I haven’t gotten to Peg’s instructions yet.

You’re not going to banish the dogs to the basement now are you once the floors get installed? Those floors hold up well. Mary has the Purgo flooring and many a dog has walked across it. No problems. I’ll cut Gingers nails before we visit. The faceless one.
