Best In Show

I watched the finals last night of the Westminster Dog Show and it was fun to see a Beagle win. It seems those darn poodles are always finishing first. This dog, named Uno, is so darn cute and is just a normal looking dog rather than being all shaved, puffed, and combed to death. Snoopy fans all over the world are happy. There you go, Purple Girl!

Damn not being able to afford cable! I missed the dog show. But I agree with Stewie in that a Pointer is definitely cuter than a Wimeraner (my old neighbor had one). But I guess “cuteness” is not what they’re rated on (although in my opinion they should be!).

The beagle is SO cute! I would love to have one, but they are quite the barker/bayer dog. It’s funny when it’s not your dog and you don’t have to listen to it constantly. We have a cutie beagle named Gracie down the street- she’s a little younger than Buster and they play well together. Everytime I walk Buster by her house, I can hear her baying inside their house- loud!!
Anyone doing anything fun for Valentines Day? I am painting hearts on my FACE cheeks for the school kids. I am also making a red dinner- spaghetti, Strawberry milk, red jello and a heart shaped cake. I am using red napkins and cups and I bought heart paper plates. I am also doing the heart treasure hunt- the boys have to follow the heart shaped clues to find their treat. Not too many years left to do that with them. I think they still like it though. Brad is refereeing, so he’ll have to eat leftovers… Survivor night tonight too- bonus! The boys and I love to watch that. Brad and the boys each gave me a nice card too! Happy Valentines Day to all my siblings!!

What sort of frilly little costumes do you make them wear while all this is going on? Something from the Brian Boitano collection, I’m guessing? Purplie Girl, what the hell is going on over there!? They should be celebrating the day like normal boys, with a fistful of stolen chocolate bars and Black Sabbath on Guitar Hero! Do you make them sit down every night to watch reruns of Will & Grace, too? All the while I’m sure Buster is scampering around in a little pink puppy tutu while you indulge him in baby talk. This is just wrong. Wrong, I tell you!

Yes, but let’s talk about how much money Brian Boitano and Will and Grace have in the bank. I am willing to make sacrifices now for a comfortable old age.
I did forget to add that we are going to watch Valentine’s Day Charlie Brown too!
Plankie- are you and June going to have a Valentine burping contest with the girls? Something manly I hope…

Funny enough, but we had a homemade pizza and watched “The Bear Man of Kamchatka” on Animal Planet. So I guess that probably qualifies. Now that I think of it, one of my favorite moments in movies was during the South Park movie, when the boys are singing that song, “What Would Brian Boitano Do?”. I guess we’ve all got a soft spot for that spunky skating sensation after all.

Ginger and I watched it too. I didn’t watch the Toy dog class though. I prefer the sporting class. I actually thought the Pointer (Jazzy) was a tich better than the Wimeraner, but all of them were winners in my book.
What did you think about the judge for the Large Dog breed. Can you say skeletor? She could barely move and I don’t think she was paying attention half the time. Judging must be a good ‘ol boy and girl network. I can’t imagine her doing that much longer. An appropriate Stewie quote:
Stewie: Augh! What the hell do you think you’re doing?
Brian: I’m cleaning myself
Stewie: You were clean fifteen minutes ago, now you’re just on vacation.
