We’ve had our first full week of summer vacation andwe’ve been busy. We’ve had orthodontist appointments, soccer games, bonfires, swimming, spaghetti dinners, highlights in our hair, girls making fancy desserts with an Easy Bake Oven, birthday parties and today Kelly performed in a play called, “Mystery At Bidford Manor.” She played a rich girl named Julia. All the men/boys wanted to marry her. In the middle of the play, Julia’s mother was murdered. It was a “who donnit” play. It had lots of humor and drama for a 15 minute play. The kids rehearsed two hours a day for five days. They did a great job and had a lot of fun performing it for us.
It’s so much fun for me to see Kelly enjoy acting and performing. She says she doesn’t get stage fright or even nervous. She says she just get’s butterflies the night and morning before. I hope she continues to enjoy this activity and pursues it through junior and senior high school. I love watching her perform. No pressure from Mom! ha!
