This year, Thanksgiving was all about family. We were lucky enough to have twelve people at our Thanksgiving table. Brothers, sisters, nieces, and uncles were all present. We sure miss those grandparents though. We started the day out with a wonderful antipasto platter made by Jim which included proscuitto wrapped asparagus, three kinds of salami’s, stuffed olives, tomatoes & roasted red peppers, and mozzarella cheese all bathed in a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. And the beverage this year was cranberry martini’s. Mmm…it just doesn’t get any better than that.
This year’s feast at the table included a rosemary and lemon rubbed turkey, mashed potatoes, fresh green beans w/bacon, sour dough & Italian stuffing, fresh baked bread and a cranberry compote (which we now call compost, thanks to my sister Terry). For dessert, it was pumpkin pie and pumpkin-ginger cake. Everything was so delicious!
