It’s spring break this week, but if we look out our windows, it looks more like winter break. The snow is slowly melting, but we can still see white with little peeks of grass below. So today we headed over to Minneapolis to go to the Macy’s Flower Show. We always need this uplifting fieldtrip at this time of the year. To see all these fresh flowers, smell the aroma and even hear the pretend birds chirping, always brings a glimmer of hope that spring is just around our corner of the world.
This years theme was Towers of Flowers. Dale Bachman, of Bachman’s Flowers, says that this theme was chosen because of a European movement of vertical gardening that is coming over to America and into our backyards. Not sure we quite have the backyard for this, but it sure looks cool.
Megan & I loved this colorful Mosaic tower.
There were many more flowers represented, but I thought I’d show a sampling…because some of us here in Minnesota just need a reminder of what’s to come. Hurry Spring!!!
